ingredients

For panner balls:

  • 1 litre full cream milk
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice or vinegar
  • 1 tsp cornflour

For Rabri (Sweet Milk Syrup):

  • 1 litre full cream milk
  • 4-5 tbsp sugar
  • 4-5 cardamon pods
  • a few strands of saffron

step by step ras malai recipe

  • boil the milk an add lemon juice or vinegar to curdle it
  • drain the curds using a cheesecloth and rinse with cold water
  • press gently to remove excess water and knead into a smooth soft dough

step 2: shape paneer balls

  • mix cornflour into the paneer dough
  • roll into smooth crack free balls

step 3: cook in sugar syrup
